| A unique Conference Facility will soon be available for all to use in the Washington D.C. area. When construction is completed in October, 2008, it will host more than 150 people in a state-of-the-art building with first-class audio/visual equipment. The American Legacy Center will be located on the Potomac River just North of Mt. Vernon, Virginia, and designed as a facility to hold business retreats, conferences, educational meetings, seminars and lectures in a quiet and picturesque setting. In addition, it will be the premium repository of military and Americanism documents in the area. It will become an integral part of the present Collingwood Library and Museum on Americanism (CLMA) which is dedicated to the preservation of the early history of the United States. Construction of this Center will begin as soon as the weather permits in 2005, and you can be a founding partner to its success. George Washington said, "Promote then as an object of primary importance Institutions for the general diffusion of knowledge…it is essential that public opinion should be enlightened". This use of the Center is the major reason for its construction. We believe that it is the mandate of the CLMA to build and maintain this special learning Center. It will be open to all groups as well as individuals with the same interests---learning more about the beginnings of our Country. The Center's Board is soliciting your contributions necessary to support this one-of-a-kind facility. It is a 501(c) (3) project and your dollars will be acknowledged as such for your tax statement. Additional information can be obtained by calling 703-765-1652 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Eastern Time. Philip A. Tilson
